Joanna Turner

Community Grants Associate (on maternity leave)

Joanna Turner joined The Foundation in 2009. Prior to her current role, she helped to develop The Foundation’s established youth programs, including new opportunities such as Youth Vital Signs. In 2015, she took part in the Senior International Fellows Program at the Centre on Philanthropy and Civil Society. She completed a MA in Intercultural and International Communications producing research on communication and globalization, informed by field study in India. Recently, she received certification in Curriculum Development and Instructional Design from Mount Royal University in Calgary. In 2017, she worked as part of Winnipeg’s Vital Signs report team. Joanna holds a four-year BA in Communications and a diploma in Creative Communications.
