Applying for Awards
Talk to your high school guidance counsellor or student services staff about what scholarships are available and how to apply. Or, contact your chosen post-secondary institution's awards and financial aid office for information on awards. Some sports teams, musical programs, professional associations or other groups oversee scholarships; contact any organizations with which you're affiliated to find out if they offer support to students.
Claiming your Award
Congratulations on your award!
You will receive a letter confirming your award, which you will need to present when you register for college or university. Check with your chosen post-secondary institution to find out where to submit your letter; usually it will be the Registrar's Office or the Financial Aid & Awards Office.
It may take several weeks to process your award. To avoid late charges, submit your award letter a few weeks before tuition fees are due. Remember to keep a copy of your award letter for your records.
Staying in Touch
Your award was the result of your hard work and made possible by generous gifts from individuals, from all walks of life. Donors to Scholarship and Bursary Funds like to hear how students are doing. We would love to hear from you and share your story with the donors who made your award possible.
