Please read carefully the information below as our Community Grants program has changed, effective January 1, 2017.
Based on consultation with community agencies and knowledge-gathering from peer foundations, beginning in 2017, we are making changes to our Community Grants program to provide increased stability to organizations and respond to emerging issues and priority areas, while continuing to fulfill our role as a project funder. It is important to note that the overall dollar amount granted by The Foundation into the community will remain consistent with previous years, though the application process has changed.

The Winnipeg Foundation is a short-term project funder. Our Community Grants program supports a wide range of projects in the areas of community service, education, health, environment, heritage, arts and culture, and recreation. Through these grants, we address a wide variety of community needs with finite, project-related support
Also in 2017, The Foundation is conducting community consultations and research in the form of a Vital Signs® project (for release in October 2017) that will help set our course as we look toward our organization’s 100th anniversary in 2021.
