Growing Active Kids Grants
All kids should have the same opportunities to learn, explore and build confidence. Growing Active Kids Grants support recreation activities in and around Manitoba Housing communities.

Your organization must have a registered charitable number from Canada Revenue Agency to apply for a Growing Active Kids Grant. (This number is required to access the online application form.) You may apply for a Growing Active Kids Grant once per calendar year. You may apply for a Community Grant in the same year, but the applications must be for different projects.
Grants are made to charitable organizations to provide cultural, educational or recreational opportunities to children and youth living in and around social housing.
At this time, we are inviting applications from youth serving agencies, centres and other organizations to partner with Manitoba Housing communities to deliver programs and services in and around Edgeland (Tuxedo), Gilbert Park, Plessis/Mission Gardens and Valley Gardens (Concordia).
Please review our Growing Active Kids Grants Policies & Guidelines [PDF] to ensure your project fits the criteria.
Applications are due by 4:30pm on the following dates:
- April 15th (notification of decision in May)
- October 15th (notification of decision in November)
Note: If an application date falls on a weekend or holiday, applications will be accepted until 4:30pm the next business day.
