Your organization must have a registered charitable number from Canada Revenue Agency to apply for a Literacy for Life Grant. (This number is required to access the online application form.) You may apply for a Literacy for Life Grant once per calendar year. Winnipeg organizations may apply for a Community Grant in the same year, but the applications must be for different projects.
Grants of up to $4,000 are available to charitable organizations across Manitoba for family literacy programming.
Please review our Literacy for Life Grants Policies & Guidelines [PDF] to ensure your project fits the criteria.

- June 1st (notification of decision late June)
- October 1st (notification of decision late October)
Note: If an application date falls on a weekend or holiday, applications will be accepted until 4:30pm the next business day.
