Andrew Coyne, National editor of "Maclean's" magazine
Andrew Coyne, national editor of Maclean's magazine, will be the special guest speaker for The Winnipeg Foundation’s Working Together fall breakfast for allied professionals on Thursday, October 15th.
In his keynote address “Canada's Economic and Political Future,” Coyne will bring the new energy and cross-country insight of Maclean's to the stage, commenting and bringing clarity to the social, political, media and economic issues shaping the country today.
Coyne plays a key role in the news coverage at Maclean's – a publication that continues to be relevant, take chances, reinvent itself and grow a hundred years after it was founded. During the last two decades, Coyne has established himself as one of this country's most thoughtful, passionate and articulate commentators on political and economic issues.
Maclean’s received Canada’s Magazine of the Year award in 2006 and Coyne has received many awards, including two National Newspaper Awards and the Hyman Solomon Award for Excellence in Public Policy Journalism. He is a member of the "At Issue" panel on CBC's The National, appears on TVO's The Agenda and once co-hosted CBC’s Face-Off.
