Winn$tock 2009 cheque presentation
Members of Winnipeg’s financial services industry are putting down their calculators and tuning their guitars to help improve the bottom line for local charities. They’ll rock out to raise money at Winn$tock 2010, the sixth annual battle of the bands by Winnipeg’s financial community. The event takes place Thursday, April 15th at Canad Inns Windsor Park.
Since 2005, Winn$tock has raised $350,000 for local community organizations. Recipients of this year’s event will be Open Access Resource Centre and Manitoba Riding for the Disabled.
Open Access provides communication devices that improve life and foster independence for Manitobans with speech impairments. Manitoba Riding for the Disabled offers therapeutic horseback riding for children with disabilities.
The Winnipeg Foundation is pleased to support Winn$tock 2010 and salutes our city’s financial services industry for its commitment to improving lives and giving back to our community. May the best band win!
