From Charleswood to St. Boniface, River East to Point Douglas, The Winnipeg Foundation supports charitable organizations that provide critical resources, strengthen our neighbourhoods and improve our lives. Last year, the Foundation made grants totaling $20.8 million to 670 agencies. Many of these community-building grants are profiled in the Foundation’s 2009 Annual Report, Strengthening Neighbourhoods.
The report, to be launched on January 20, also features inspiring donors stories. Highlights will be printed in the Winnipeg Free Press on Saturday, January 23.
A companion document, called Investing in Turbulent Times, will accompany the report, and a series of free public information sessions on the Foundation will take place around the city from January 25 to 29. For times and locations, click here.
