There are many ways to support our community through The Winnipeg Foundation.
In general, gifts to the Foundation provide capital for endowment funds intended to produce annual income in perpetuity.
Establishing your own named fund does not require great wealth and is not complicated. To find out more about the options available to you, see our page on
Establishing an Endowment Fund.
Named Funds
There are a number of named funds created by individuals, businesses or other community groups that are open to donations from anyone who wants to contribute.
If you are interested in supporting a specific fund, but do not know its name, please
.
Agency Endowment Funds
Some local registered charities have established endowment funds to support their work and you can support them by donating to their Agency Endowment Fund.
A gift may be directed to any fund, in honour of or in remembrances of a friend or relative, to mark a special occasion or to acknowledge someone’s achievement.
The Foundation will mail a personal card to advise whoever you wish that you have made a gift for this purpose.
The Winnipeg Foundation can manage virtually any type of gift for charitable purposes:
- Cash
- Publicly Traded Securities
- Personal property
- Life Insurance
- Bequests
