Gathering Around Food
The Foundation supports projects that use food to bring their community together.
The Winnipeg Foundation’s Camp and Summer Programming Grants pilot project awards grants of up to $10,000 for summer programming activities, including subsidies to attend camp, for disadvantaged children and youth. Disadvantaged children and youth could include those who are economically disadvantaged, or those that face physical or health challenges.

Organizations may apply for a Camp and Summer Programming Grant and a Community Grant in the same calendar year, but it must be for different projects.

Project Examples
Applications will be considered from existing summer programs for the following:
  • Subsidies for children to attend accredited residential camps, accredited summer camp programs, or summer day camps
  • Program costs for summer activities hosted by registered charities
Eligible project costs include fee subsidies, activities (such as attendance at summer events,) supplies and equipment (such as arts and crafts materials), snacks and transportation.

Applications will not be considered for new summer programs, capital costs, renovations or staffing. (Applications for these expenses are considered through the Community Grants Program.)
