The Community Grants Program is the Foundation's main grants program, supporting a wide range of community projects in the areas of community service, education, health, arts and culture, heritage, recreation and the environment.

Organizations may submit a grant application to The Winnipeg Foundation once in the calendar year. For more information, see our

Grant requests
less than $100,000 are considered three times per year:

- decision in May

• April 30th
|
- decision in September
|

• September 30th

- decision in January

Grant requests
$100,000 and greater (including multi-year projects with a total request of $100,000 or over) are considered once per year and require a consultation meeting with a community grants staff before an application may be submitted:

Applications will only be accepted through the Foundation’s online grant application process. For detailed instructions on the online application, please download

Please note: You will need your organization's Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Registered Charity number (eg. 123456789RR0001) to access the online grant application.
Save & Finish Later
You do not have to complete the entire application at one time; the online grant application includes a “Save & Finish Later” feature. To log into your account click on the button below. Your account includes “In Progress Applications” as well as “Submitted Applications”.
When a grant is awarded, you will receive a Terms of Grant Agreement. This document provides specific details about the terms of your grant, including how to request payment and final report requirements.
Please refer to your Terms of Grant Agreement for information on how to request payment. Grant payment requests can be sent to the
Grants Administrative Assistant.
Once your project is complete, please fill out the final report form and email it to
grants@wpgfdn.org:
