Youth in Philanthropy Celebration 2009
High school students and charitable organizations gathered for the year-end celebration of this youth grantmaking initiative.
The Literacy for Life Fund supports family literacy development in Manitoba. The fund, a partnership between The Winnipeg Foundation, Literacy Partners of Manitoba and Winnipeg Public Library, provides grants of up to $4,000 for intergenerational literacy programs in libraries and community centres across the province. Since it was established in 2003, the fund has provided more than $500,000 in support of a wide range of literacy initiatives.

There are four application dates each year to apply for Literacy for Life Fund grants:
  • April 1
  • June 1
  • October 1
  • January 2
