The Winnipeg Foundation’s Nourishing Potential Grants program awards grants of up to $10,000 to charitable organizations to provide nutritious food for children and youth. The goal is to support healthy child development so that all children and youth can reach their full potential to grow and learn.
Organizations may apply for a Nourishing Potential grant once per calendar year and apply for a
Community Grant in the same calendar year, but it must be for different projects.

At this time, we are inviting applications from after-school programs, drop-in centres, community centres, and family resource centres. Applications will be considered for any one or, a combination of the following to a maximum of $10,000:
- Food purchases (up to $6,000)
- Equipment (up to $3,000),Eligible costs include: appliances; cookware; food preparation and storage items; and reusable dishes and utensils.
- Nutrition education and staff/volunteer food handling training (up to $1,000).
