University of Manitoba students help Mount Carmel provide care to Point Douglas neighbourhood.
In 2003, The Winnipeg Foundation began a five-year initiative focused on helping one of Winnipeg’s most challenged neighbourhoods. Based on the premise that “education is the ticket out of poverty,” the Foundation worked with partners in the community to address the root causes of poverty in the area.
