Winnipeg Foundation staff are saddened to hear of the passing of The Honourable Murray Sinclair, whose Ojibway spirit name is Mizhana Gheezhik-iban meaning "The One Who Speaks of Pictures in the Sky". His family has established the Murray Sinclair Memorial Fund to honour his memory.

The Government of Canada announced it will extend the deadline for making donations to registered charitable organizations that are eligible for a 2024 tax receipt to February 28, 2025.
