Bridging Divides, Shaping Futures

Winnipeg’s Vital Signs® initiative, a project of The Winnipeg Foundation, is a check-up on the vitality of our community. As part of Vital Signs®, this second in a series of Vital Conversations takes place today, in partnership with Circles for Reconciliation. This community conversation will focus on what truth and reconciliation means to our community, our organizations and our families.

When: TODAY Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Where: Canad Inns Fort Garry, 1824 Pembina Hwy

The day begins with featured keynote speaker, Dr. Kevin Lamoureux, Associate Vice-President Indigenous Affairs at the University of Winnipeg, followed by facilitated, guided discussions around specific gathering themes. This Vital Conversation is open to all.

Vital Signs® combines research, a public survey and community conversations to provide insights on issues important to quality of life in Winnipeg. The report – to be issued in October 2017 – will inform The Winnipeg Foundation’s work, leading up to its centennial in 2021.

This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between The Winnipeg Foundation, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast to coast.
