  • Angeline Nelson, Director of Community and Learning Engagement at the University of Winnipeg, joins us to talk about the Learning Anishinaabe program at the Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre and the importance of maintaining our connection to Indigenous languages and culture.
  • Kerry Ryan, Community Grants Associate at The Winnipeg Foundation, joins us to discuss the Literacy for Life program, which has been encouraging kids and their families to embrace literacy for over 15 years.
  • Coverage of The Winnipeg Foundation's Youth in Philanthropy event at the Winnipeg Art Gallery on Tuesday with a special visit from the mayor. We'll hear from Praise Oluwafemi, one of the event MCs, and Nav Brar, who had the opportunity to greet the mayor, about the event and the YiP program.
  • And if quitting smoking is one of your new year’s resolutions, the Manitoba Lung Association can help. President and CEO Neil Johnston will join us to talk about the resources it offers for quitting smoking, as well as about the upcoming Tulip Days which begin in February.
