In this instalment of River City 360:

  • Winnipeg’s Exchange District is a hotbed of creativity, art, and culture. We’ll be joined by Thom Sparling of ACI Manitoba to tell us about their work in the district, as well as a survey you can take to have your say.
  • Genevieve Pelletier, Artistic Director of Theatre Cercle Moliere, joins us to discuss about Cercle Moliere's new production, Nanabush and the Drum, and how it’s breaking new ground for the local theatre company.
  • We’ll also speak with Naomi Gichungu, an Emerging Leaders' Fellowship participant, about her work with IRCOM, the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba, on an Indigenous/Newcomer Relations Program.
  • Shakespeare in the Ruins is about to launch its production of Romeo and Juliet this coming Thursday. We’ll speak with Andrew Cecon, Artistic Director of Shakespeare in the Ruins, to learn all about it.
  • And Noah Erenberg of Community News Commons will speak with us about this week in Winnipeg through the lens of the citizen journalists at Community News Commons.
