In response to the emergency in Fort McMurray, The Winnipeg Foundation is supporting twelve Alberta community foundations who have established the Rebuilding Fort McMurray Fund.

The Fund’s objective is to restore and enhance the social infrastructure of the Fort McMurray community, particularly in areas that aren’t covered by governments or insurance. Gifts made to the Fund will flow directly to support longterm rebuilding efforts.

“Manitobans know we can make a difference when we work together,” says Rick Frost, CEO of The Winnipeg Foundation. “Our $100,000 contribution will help our Alberta colleagues look beyond immediate disaster relief to support longer term recovery efforts.”
