Camp Manitou is about fun, friends, connecting with nature, and building self-confidence.

According to Board member John Bock, “It’s a place where youngsters from the city can begin to be themselves. They can say, ‘I can actually do something. I can climb, I can row a canoe… I can do anything!’”

Located just five minutes outside Winnipeg, Camp Manitou is a summer camp and year-round recreation facility. Programming is targeted to kids from hard-working families struggling to get ahead.

Since 2000, Camp Manitou has received more than $250,000 in support through funds held at The Winnipeg Foundation. The Camp Manitou Endowment Fund was also established at The Foundation in 2005.

Want to help kids go to camp? You can support the Camp Manitou Endowment Fund or The Foundation’s Campership Fund by making a secure online gift at wpgfdn.org.
