"First attempt at The Great Skate today with my brother. The theme this year is ‘what brings you joy?’
When we were planning The Great Skate this year with The Dream Factory, we had no idea what to expect in terms of participation and fundraising. We didn’t have high expectations, but I am amazed that we are already at 310% of our goal. It’s inspiring to see the dream kids getting involved with the fundraising, and one girl was even motivated to skate without assistance for the first time. Seeing everyone out skating and sharing their Great Skate story brings me joy. Skating on the river trail brings me joy.
And maybe we can raise another $1,000 for @thedreamfactorymb from the @wpgfdn #twf100
Keep skating! #thegreatskate2021"
