Special Program Grants

Special Program Grants at The Winnipeg Foundation support specific programs or initiatives.

Organizations may apply to each of the Special Program Grants once per calendar year, as well as the Community Grants program. However, applications must be for different projects.

Nourishing Potential Grants Up to $10,000 for nutritious food for children and youth No application dates in 2022. Nourishing Potential will reopen in 2023.
Organizational Development Grants Up to $10,000 to help charitable organizations become more self-sustaining Continuous intake

Professional Development Grants
  • Up to $1,500 for conferences, short courses and workshops
  • Up to $5,000 for advanced management training, management mentorships, and safety training for front-line workers

Summer Internship Program Grants Up to $4,500 to host a summer intern selected by The Winnipeg Foundation Mentor applications due March 18

Walking Together Grants Up to $10,000 for youth-led Truth and Reconciliation projects April 18

Grant applications open approximately six weeks before the due date.

NOTE: All grant applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on the application date. If an application date falls on a weekend or holiday, applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. of the next business day.
