Professional Development Grants help organizations access training and mentorship opportunities.
Professional Development Grants supports a wide range of PD opportunities, including conferences, short courses, and workshops; advanced management training, management mentorships, and job shadowing; safety training for frontline workers; and DEI training.
Eligibility
- Professional Development Grants are for permanent staff or board members of registered charities that primarily benefit the citizens of Winnipeg.
- Your organization must have a registered charitable number from Canada Revenue Agency or be a qualified donee to apply for a Professional Development Grant. A charity registration number is required to access the online application form; if you are a qualified donee, please contact us for details on how to access the application form.
- You may apply for one Professional Development Grant per calendar year. Organizations may apply for a Community Grant, or any special program grant, in the same year, but applications must be for different projects.
- Applicants may apply for one professional development opportunity for an individual or group per application.

Professional Development Grants help charitable organizations access individual and group learning opportunities that build staffing and leadership capacity.

Application Due Date
Applications are accepted through our online application portal on a continuous basis. Organizations must apply at least eight weeks prior to their proposed professional development opportunity.
