When a child learns with their parent or caregiver, they build stronger family relationships and community connections. The Winnipeg Foundation’s Literacy for Life Fund is helping provide these enriched learning opportunities for thousands of Manitoba families.

Established in 2003 by Literacy Partners of Manitoba, Winnipeg Public Library, and The Winnipeg Foundation, Literacy For Life supports family literacy programs in community centres and libraries across the province.

These grassroots programs are having huge impact: parents are inspired to read with their children daily; kids are building skills that last a lifetime; and families are becoming more active in community life.
