BeCause & Effect #88: Yvette Cenerini

Arts, Culture & Heritage

Yvette Cenerini (yvettecenerini.com) is a Franco-Métis visual artist, educator, and the Art Education Specialist with Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art (MAWA) (mawa.ca).

Her project, Resilience (resilienceproject.ca): 50 Indigenous Art Cards & Teaching Guide, was developed for use in schools across Canada and is intended for students from kindergarten to grade 12.

In this episode Yvette Cenerini talks about her career as an artist in Winnipeg, using art to help youth understand themselves and the world around them, and how we can connect with art on our path to reconciliation.

This episode is also on The Winnipeg Foundation’s YouTube channel, so you can watch the video of my conversation with Yvette.
