Huddle is Manitoba’s first Integrated Youth Services (IYS), a one stop shop for youth aged 12 to 29 to access wrap-around supports, contributing to the overall wellbeing of youth such as mental health supports and problematic substance use.
The sites are youth-centric, so youth determine the number of hours a site will be open and when services are available, even down to the colour on the walls. In additional to Peer Leaders and System Navigators there are mainstream services provides: mental health counsellors, substance use counsellors, and nurse practitioners.
Since November 2020, the number of Huddle sites has grown from one to six – four in the City of Winnipeg, one in Selkirk and the last in Brandon, Manitoba. Huddle’s Early Impact report shows as of December 2022, Huddle has supported 1,430 youth with over 6,730 visits.
