CommunityCommunity Fund donor Brenlea Yamron shares her story and what encourages her to give back to her community.
Thanks to the Yamron family, Nathan Detroit’s Sandwich Pad was a part of Downtown’s fabric for more than 40 years. When the deli closed its doors in the Portage and Main concourse, the Yamron family looked for a way to continue Nathan’s legacy.
“We got to know Winnipeg through that restaurant,” Brenlea Yamron said. “So, when the restaurant closed down … we thought wouldn’t it be great to give back to a city that has given us so much.”
