Listen or Watch Episode #4

“Anything can change your life as long as you put the time and effort into something you love.”

In this episode, we speak with Tarun, a young videographer and content creator pursuing his passion for videography and photography. Tarun began experimenting with engineering projects and eventually found his interest in electronic and tech-related fields through his involvement in CanU.

Tarun discovered his talent for videography and photography by playing with his brother’s camera equipment. Despite initial hesitation, he began to explore these skills and received encouragement from his brother and friends. He gradually built his portfolio by offering his services for free to gain experience and connections.

As he continued to hone his skills, Tarun’s talent caught the attention of various organizations, including the University of Manitoba, where he was hired as a camera broadcaster. Tarun speaks about the importance of starting small, practicing, and not focusing on money right away. He believes that pursuing what you love can lead to unexpected opportunities and a fulfilling career.

The podcast also touches on the significance of mentorship and leadership in guiding aspiring videographers and photographers. Tarun reflects on how his journey influenced others, and how mentors and role models can help individuals find their path.

In this episode we talk about Tarun’s future aspirations, including the possibility of a full-time career in videography. Tarun’s story serves as an example of how saying “yes” to opportunities, practicing, and pursuing one’s passion can lead to a success and fulfillment.
