Community foundations across Manitoba are doing remarkable work. Whether in small towns or big cities, they bring people together, grow local endowments, and support the organizations and initiatives that strengthen their communities. Their impact is rooted in deep local knowledge, trusted relationships, and a shared commitment to long-term well-being.
Endow Manitoba, an initiative of Winnipeg Foundation, is here to support and strengthen this work.
As a network, we connect community foundations from across the province, creating space to learn from one another, share ideas, and build on collective experience. Our purpose at Endow Manitoba is to help foundations grow sustainably, increase their impact, and ensure that local generosity continues to support communities for generations.
Our approach emphasizes collaboration and continuous learning. We work alongside foundations to strengthen governance, fund development, and community leadership. We provide practical support, access to tools and resources, and opportunities for peer learning and mentorship. We also share best practices from across the network, so that the entire sector can benefit from knowledge and innovation.
This work is already making a difference.
Today, 57 community foundations operate across Manitoba, each one rooted in its community and responsive to local priorities. Together, they form a growing network of people and organizations committed to building healthy, thriving places to live.
