Major Capital Grants
Winnipeg Foundation Major Capital Grants support capital campaigns and projects with awards of up to $100,000.
Application details
- Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) registered charities.
- Qualified CRA donees (contact us in this case)
- Organizations with a grant history with Winnipeg Foundation and that have received and reported on at least one Community Grant.
- Organizations that haven’t received a Major Capital Grant this calendar year.
- Organizations based in Winnipeg or serving its citizens.
Your proposal must describe a capital project that will benefit Winnipeg residents.
Your organization must either own the property or have a long-term lease.
The project must be ready to start once funding is received.
Your application is subject to a two-stage application process.
You may request funding only for costs that will be incurred in the future.
- New construction projects
- Major renovations and facility expansions
- Significant upgrades to existing spaces
- Improvements to accessibility, safety, or organizational capacity
