Student Awards

Help deserving students realize their dreams.

Are you passionate about education? Do you want to help your Cause by encouraging students to learn and work in that area? Student Awards support students in our community and can inspire advances in your Cause.

What is a Student Award Fund?

A Student Award Fund is an endowment fund that helps students pursue their education. Gifts are permanently invested and a portion of the income earned is available each year for students as scholarships, bursaries or awards.

Why establish a Student Award Fund at The Winnipeg Foundation?

There are a lot of great reasons. You can…

  • Give back to your high school, university or college.
  • Assist students in their pursuit of education by alleviating financial barriers.
  • Support your Cause by encouraging students to explore that field.

Since Student Award Funds are permanent, you’ll continue to help students For Good. Forever.

Claiming your award

Congratulations on your award!

You will receive a letter confirming your award. You will need to present this letter when you register for college or university. Check with your chosen post-secondary institution to find out where to submit your letter; usually it is the Registrar’s Office or the Financial Aid & Awards Office.

NOTE: Submit your award letter a few weeks before tuition fees are due. It will take several weeks to process your award; submitting early will help you avoid late charges.
