Eligibility

  • Your organization must have a registered charitable number from Canada Revenue Agency or be a qualified donee to apply for a Multi-Year Grant. A charity registration number is required to access the online application form; if you are a qualified donee, please contact us for details on how to access the application form.
  • Organizations must be based in Winnipeg and their programs must primarily benefit the people of Winnipeg. National organizations may apply but must demonstrate that they have been operating in Winnipeg for at least three years with permanent, full-time staff; a fully operational location; and local representation on the Board of Directors.
  • Organizations must have a grant history with The Winnipeg Foundation and, within the last three years, have received and reported on one Community Grant or Adapt Grant.
  • Organizations must have an annual operating budget (revenues) of $10 million or less.

Criteria

Multi-Year Grants awards flexible funding to enhance the capacity of an organization. Applications will be assessed on overall organizational health and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices. 50% of the successful recipients of this grant are from equity-led community organizations.

Application Due Date

November 1, 2024, 12:00 noon (notification of decision in February).
