At the Winnipeg Foundation, we work alongside individuals and families who want their giving to be thoughtful, flexible, and have a lasting impact. Some are looking for a simple way to support the causes they care about today. Others want to build a legacy that will carry forward, honouring a loved one, celebrating a milestone, or creating a family tradition of generosity.

However you choose to give, we help connect your generosity to community-led work that strengthens lives, neighbourhoods, and opportunities across our city. Giving can start with a single gift, grow through shared decisions, and become a meaningful family legacy for generations to come.

For many generous individuals and families, philanthropy is a lifelong expression of care for community. That generosity often continues beyond their lifetime—entrusted to the foundation to steward with purpose, care, and integrity.

As one daughter, Krista, shared of her parents, “They were both naturally philanthropic and supported many different charities throughout their lives.” That spirit of open‑hearted giving is echoed in so many of the estates represented here—gifts rooted not in a single cause, but in a belief that the Foundation will carry their generosity forward with care and purpose.

Through gifts to the community fund, donors place confidence in the Foundation not only to steward their exceptional generosity, but also to direct resources where they are most needed over time. This flexibility allows us to respond to evolving community needs and create meaningful impact—today and for generations to come.
We have had the privilege of thanking many of these generous individuals and families, though not all. To each of you, we extend our sincere gratitude for your trust and support.
