The Community Fund is built to support our city forever. It ensures there will always be resources available to meet emerging needs, strengthen communities, and adapt as Winnipeg grows.

What makes the Community Fund unique is its flexibility. It supports all our responsive grants, including Community Grants, Children and Youth and Program Grants, Major Capital Grants, and Multi-Year Grants. The Community Fund supports strategic work focused on some of Winnipeg’s most pressing challenges: helping prevent entry into the child welfare system, improving outcomes for those children already in the system, and supporting youth as they transition out of care. It also invests in Winnipeg’s downtown Community Area for Revitalization and Equity (CARE), where community organizations are addressing poverty, homelessness, and addiction with deep local knowledge and compassion.
